God’s Plan of Salvation

 

 

There are five things the Bible says you need to know about salvation:

 

1. Heaven is a free gift of God and is not earned or deserved by mankind. (Rom 6:23; Eph 2:8-9)

 

2. All men and women are sinners and they cannot save themselves. (Rom 3:23; Matt 5:48)

 

3. God is merciful and does not want to punish us, but God is also just and He must punish our sin. (1 John 4:8; Jer 31:3; Ex 34:7)

 

4. Jesus Christ is the infinite God-Man. He lived a perfect and sinless life. He died on the cross and rose from the dead to pay the penalty for our sins and to purchase a place for us in heaven.

(Jn 1:1,14; Is 53:6)

 

5. Faith is not mere head-knowledge or temporary faith, but is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.  (Acts 16:31; Rom 10:9-10, 13)

 

If you desire to transfer your trust to Jesus Christ, receive Him as Savior and Lord, and repent of your sins, pray this prayer:

 

Lord Jesus Christ, I know that I am a sinner and do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe you died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in heaven for me. Lord Jesus, come into my life; take control of my life; forgive my sins and save me. I repent of my sins and now place my trust in You for my salvation. I accept the free gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
